No, I can’t prove it … but it’s the only reasonable explanation for how the rookie manager just bodyslammed the Yankees in the ALDS by pulling off a string of flawless moves that, had they not panned out, would have made for the longest winter of his life.

I bet David Price is a great guy. In fact, I bet if I was sitting at the counter in a pizza joint having a slice, and he sat down nearby, and I asked him if he could please pass me the grated cheese, he’d be all, “Yeah, man, no problem. Here, have some grated cheese. And, hey, how ’bout some red-pepper flakes, too?” And I’d be like, “No, thanks” — because I’m a big wimp when it comes to hot, spicy foods — but, also, I’d be like, “but thanks for asking … and, hey, aren’t you Red Sox starter David Price? Wow, you seem like a great guy!”

Flashback: Red Sox Opening Day, 2015

With just moments to go before the Red Sox kick off the 2017 season at Fenway Park, I thought I’d share with you an awesome Opening Day experience from a couple years back.

In 2015, we had tickets to see the Sox play their first game of the season against the Philadelphia Phillies at Citizen’s Bank Park. Our seats were about 20 rows behind the Sox dugout, and a short while into the game, my wife pointed to someone sitting on the aisle a few rows ahead of us.
