Good Will Taunting

The Boston Red Sox hammered the Oakland A's this evening, bringing Boston's magic number for clinching the AL East to any combination of Red Sox wins or Yankees losses totaling two.

    Sure is a shame that the most interesting of all series this October will be the inevitable clash of NY vs. Beantown - Why not move one to the NL East in exchange for the Mets, or Phillies? The Red Sox are basically a scrappy NL style team with the luxury of a DH… Wouldn’t that ensure pure October excitment? Besides - if you can even contend for the AL East Crown the NL East should be as easy as a walk through Central Park (in daylight of course - with a group of people…. carrying guns and dogs.. Maybe not carrying the dogs, but they’d have them with them nonetheless…)
